Live Streaming & Timing

Inspired by 'backyard mechanics' thread I though it would be a good idea to put together a list of sites where you can get either a live video or audio stream or live timing of motorsport events and series around the globe.

I'm sure there are many motor racing disciplines that many of us would follow if we could get regular coverage. So if you know of any sites that offer these services then let us know about it!

Nice, Chris. A one stop shop for all who want to see the racing but have circumstances that deny the pleasure.
In this, the people like myself who don't have a TV, or the channels received do not include motorsport examples, now have the opportunity to view the races, usually the whole race too as many TV channels just do highlights.

I'll add what I allready know about:

FIA GT: mms://wmedialive.coltfrance.com/EurosportFrance - But due to Eurosport no longer having a licence for this, the stream may well be history. We'll find out in May.

FIA GT Spa 24hrs: www.hibn.tv - hopefully has a stream this year as did so last year. Many a good motorsport video on that site also.

Champ Car World Series: https://gmsleaderboard03.vfx.com/Cham...LiveTiming.asp - live timing

www.F1.com has free (though you have to register) live timing on all F1 sessions.
A1GP.com has something like that too, right?

I also noticed that it says on eurosport.com that you can watch all FIA WTCC sessions via a live-stream from that site.

Last year the WTCC was on the same stream as the GT's. They just filled in the time between races with promo stuff. That could mean the 2006 WTCC is on the alforementioned link.

Please include that the f1 website requires the java plugin evans to view live timing. I guess you can delete my post then chris.

Well - You can watch streaming TV over peer to peer.
Its remarkably good quality if theres plenty of users on.
(But I'm not sure if p2p programs can be discussed here)

I watch F1 qualifying and races that way, but make sure you have a good virus checker on board, as some of the programs can have trojans attached.

Not tested, but it looks promising

V8 Supercars

seems you can only watch this if you are a BigPond customer ?

BTCC should be available somewhere as well, but I haven't found it yet.

Anyone ever tried F1TV? They claim you can watch F1 races live with the F1TV software... have no idea if it works, but sure would love to find out it does for tomorrow's British GP... I'm fed up with watching FOX's delayed broadcasts here in the US. Thanks a lot Bernie.
