Windows 7 beta

Just letting folks know i have Lfs, gtr2 and my shiftlight indicator running superbly on windows 7 (64 bit) over triple screens with softTH. Everything is super smooth and frame rates are up on xp home (32bit)
Personally i cant wait for this new o/s to release

Thanks for that it's useful to know! I've just downloaded the 64bit beta and was looking to install is soon to find out how things run. I have both XP and Vista and I'd like to consolidate at some point. Have you got yours running as a dual/tripple boot?

I keep wondering if on an older system it would run faster too or if it simply can take advantage of the newer systems better.

I started off with with dual boot but i have been so impressed with the stability of the beta, i have binned xp all together and im running w7 as my main o/s.
I haven't encountered any problems yet.
I cant really say how an older machine might cope with w7 because mine is
pretty modern.

As most already know, the Release Candidate is already out. Very nice and I've been using it since it came out, along with the first build that was publicly released.

I have had trouble with installing software for my Momo, I get the message that this software was designed for Windows XP 32 bit, blah blah blah, it is a fresh download, right off of logitechs site, I tried running it in compatability mode, but no luck. Anyone know of a solution?

Hey Steve.

I too have luck running all my software on Windows 7 RC. It is superb and superior to my Vista install any day of the week.

As for an older machine. I just installed the 32 bit Windows 7 on my wife's clunker. 3.0 Pentium, couple gig of ram... The thing runs better than XP did for her. I highly recommend trying it. Even if your machine is dated.

GTR 2 wont load from the DVD in Vista 64 bit for me. Was hoping it would be fixed in Windows 7 64 bit, but it still doesnt work.

Anyone else have this issue?

The only way to get the game to load is to use the No cd patch.

Other users have reported the same problem at No grip.

Other than that the OS is superb, but I plan on runing the Vista 64 until I build again as I didnt see any gain.

I haven't tried installing GTR2, but I did install the "Volvo The Game" demo, and it runs just fine on Windows 7, no problems ( after I installed the correct Logitech drivers )
